My Roles:

  • Creating 3D models and textures on a weekly basis.

  • Designed areas in the game in a way that visually told a story to the player.

Description: Shadow That Pervades was a large project by the DePaul Game Studio. The project provided students with the experience of working at a large game studio. You play as a dog named Rose who finds herself in an abandoned world. Players must explore this abandoned world and fight off the evil that intends to claim Rose's life.

Level Design

City Level

 

Using Unreal Engine 4, I designed areas within the City level. My biggest challenge was to build the level in a way that visually told a story to the player. The game is played without dialogue for the most part so the player must rely on the environment to get an understanding of the story.

3D Models/Textures

On a weekly basis, I was assigned a list of models and textures to complete before the next sprint meeting. I used Blender for modeling and Substance Painter for texturing..
